Health is intertwined in every aspect of our existence, so nurture it with the same care and dedication you would nurture your child, my friend. As you reflect, ask yourself:
“Am I healthy enough for success?”
The Green Samurai is the Guardian of HealthDomain: Physical and Mental Health Before: Struggling with unhealthy habits, lack of motivation, and poor cognitive function. Ikigai
balance the spiritual with the practical.
Ikigai, meaning "reason for being."
Align your daily activities with your mission to foster a deep sense of purpose and drive, boosting cognitive resilience and motivation. Your "reason for being" can be small at first—just discover it. What is the point of improving your health if it has no meaning? Once you have meaning, you'll go the extra mile to improve yourself without anyone's help.
My Ikigai is to help you, while also cheering you up 😄
Symbol
By honing your cognitive function, you cultivate a mind as keen and precise as a katana’s edge.
Recommended Practices
Deliberate cold exposure to increase dopamine levels and improve cognitive function.
Gratitude Practice: Maintain a gratitude journal to boost baseline dopamine levels, enhancing overall mood and motivation
Natural Rewards: Seek out natural and fulfilling activities, such as gardening, hiking, or volunteering for environmental causes. These activities not only boost dopamine but also provide a sense of purpose and connection to the Earth.
Cardiovascular Exercise: Engage in activities like running, cycling, or swimming for at least 150 minutes per week to boost brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which supports neuroplasticity and cognitive function.
Don’t forget to have a good laugh as well!
Become a part of a Community
The vibrancy of a community, the positivity of its energy and the warmness of its social interactions will contribute to supreme cognitive function. This topic is a bit too lengthy to explain any further. Just become a part of a community.
Nothing like a good community disco to get me going! 🪩 🕺
Diet for Cognitive Function
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish, walnuts, chia seeds, and flaxseed, are important for the development of brain tissue, synaptic plasticity, mood regulation, and more.
B vitamins, found in leafy greens, eggs, fortified grains, and legumes, help keep homocysteine levels low and support neuron health.
Green Samurai Smoothie:
1 cup spinach
1 banana
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp spirulina powder
my smoothie brings all the boys to the yard 🎵 🎵🎵🎵
The Green Samurai Greatest’s advice
If you choose to ignore or glance over all this information, so be it. But please do not ignore this core wisdom I give you here:
Embrace Nature
Step outside and let the wind whisper past your ears. Touch the ancient trees and walk gently through the Earth's forests. Feel the ground beneath your feet, grounding you in the beauty of mother nature.
being a part of nature is vital to the human body and mind. When we are disconnected from nature, confined to concrete jungles, our minds and bodies suffer the most.
